Be a part of the solution!Our mission is to divert, recycle and eventually have all solid waste from discarded hospitality industry guest soaps, shampoos and conditioner diverted from landfill sites. We are committed to doing this in an efficient, environmentally friendly manner.The hospitality industry (ie) hotels, motels, lodges and bed and breakfast establishments all provide hand and bath soaps for their guests. This soap, as well as shampoo and conditioneris discarded daily. This soap will be diverted from general garbage, saved for pick-up and recycled into various cleaning products. According to the Canadian Tourism Commission there was 98,784,000 overnight stays in Canada last year. Approximately 50 grams of guest soap per room was disposed of for each overnight stay, which calculated as follows,98,784,000 X 50 grams divided by 1000 = 4,939,000 kg (10,866,000 lbs.)and 1 bottle of shampoo and 1 bottle of conditioner equal almost 200,000,000 bottles. For the American market, the total solid waste diverted from landfill sites using this formula would be a staggering 108,660,000 pounds!
